Divine Love
He saw our need and misery;
He saw our painful woe;
His heart drew close in sympathy,
E’en though we did not know.
Though love and mercy shaped His plan,
Yet true and just He was;
The blood came from a Divine Man --
The sinful souls were ours.
What pain He chose for our own sakes,
No man, save One, would know;
What kind of heavenly love it takes,
For God this way to go?
Now, speechless, I adore His Name –
Amazing love this be;
No earthly wisdom can explain:
“My God has died for me!”
