In Times Of Trouble
When filled with many doubts and fears,
And tears, my cheeks, doth stain;
When all attempts to cheer my soul,
Seem unblessed, and vain;
When failure blocks the rays of hope,
And progress drops to nil;
When shoulders strain to bear the yoke,
And joyful sounds are still;
When feelings seem to gather force,
And drown both will and mind;
When danger seems to draw so close,
And help lags far behind;
When all these things weigh down my soul,
I'll cast my cares on Him;
And let, by faith, unbounded peace,
Rule my heart within.
