Why God Made Man
Sometimes I begin to wonder,
Why we were ever made;
Why God took all the trouble,
Us humans to create?
Could it be that He,
Feeling bored one day,
Created the human race,
To pass the time away?
Or could it be that,
His power for to test,
"Let me see", said He,
"What happens when I do my best?"
Or perhaps there was an accident,
As He was thinking in His chair;
And when the smoke cleared,
Adam was standing there?
Whatever His reason may be,
I'll probably never know;
But I'd like to keep on searching,
Till I can search no more.
About one year later…
At last I have got,
The answer to my quest;
God Himself has spoken,
And put my heart to rest.
