 A Pilgrim At Peace

My soul will rest in God secure,
While stormy winds are blowing;
For He is able, I am sure,
To take me where I'm going.

He leads the way, and lends His Hand,
And meets each need of mine,
While I obey as best I can,
And humbly toe the line.

No being may dare to cause me harm
Without His full consent;
His peace is like a soothing balm
When men are evil bent.

This life of mine I walk with joy,
On earth a sojourner;
A Perfect Guide I have for Friend,
And for Philosopher!
