Jesus heals many sick in Gennesaret as they touch his garment

Mt 14:34-36 34 When they had crossed over, they came to land at Gennesaret. 35 And when the men of that place recognized Him, they sent word into all that surrounding district and brought to Him all who were sick; 36 and they implored Him that they might just touch the fringe of His cloak; and as many as touched it were cured.

Mk 6:53-56 53 When they had crossed over they came to land at Gennesaret, and moored to the shore. 54 When they got out of the boat, immediately the people recognized Him, 55 and ran about that whole country and began to carry here and there on their pallets those who were sick, to the place they heard He was. 56 Wherever He entered villages, or cities, or countryside, they were laying the sick in the market places, and imploring Him that they might just touch the fringe of His cloak; and as many as touched it were being cured.

If you heard that a very rich man was in your neighborhood, giving away $100 bills, what would you do? Most people, after verifying that the information was true, and the $100 bills were genuine, would dash over to where this was happening, and get their free money.

In the same way, many people acted quickly and got healing because of their belief and quick action.

We too need to make the most of the spiritual opportunities we have. Sometimes, we have access godly men from whom we can learn much, but only for a short period of time when we are in the same church, or close to them. Then they move on or we move on. If we don’t learn during that time, we have missed an opportunity that may never come again.

Children in the USA move out of their parent’s homes shortly after they turn eighteen. In the years that they stay with their parents, they have a great opportunity to get a lot of wisdom from their parents – wisdom that will save them from a lot of trials and traps and troubles that they will face sooner or later in their lives. Instead of spending their spare time watching videos or on social media with their friends, if they ask their parents questions with respect, and give high regard to their parent’s words, they can learn a lot, and be very, very successful in life.
