To whom is sound doctrine revealed?
To those who seek
Have you ever come across a deer hunter who says, "I’ll sit here and let the deer fall into my lap. Then I’ll put my arms around it and hold on to it. In that way, I’ll catch my deer."? Nobody catches a deer like that.
We read earlier that God does not give pearls to swine. We will now find that God does give pearls – but you’ve got to be an ardent pearl hunter and hunt for them.
If you want to understand God you need to seek Him. If you want to get sound doctrine you have to hunt for it. There has to be deliberate action on your part.
Pr 28:5 Evil men do not understand justice, but those who seek the LORD understand all things.
If you seek Him then He will let you find Him.
2 Chron 15:2 and he went out to meet Asa and said to him, "Listen to me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin: the LORD is with you when you are with Him. And if you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you."

We understand that much. What about when we don’t understand the word of God and we find so many conflicting doctrines floating around? Should we get advice from your spouse, friend, neighbor or co-worker? No. Rather, seek the Lord and He will let you find Him.
If you draw close to Him then He will draw close to you.
Jas 4:8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

There has to be a great desire in us to know the Lord. You have to search for Him with all your heart and soul. That is, everything else must become secondary.
Deut 4:29 "But from there you will seek the LORD your God, and you will find Him if you search for Him with all your heart and all your soul."
Jer 29:13 "But from there you will seek the LORD your God, and you will find Him if you search for Him with all your heart and all your soul."
Pr 2:3-7 tells us that we will know God if we cry, ask loudly, seek, search, and walk uprightly.
Pr 2:3-7 For if you cry for discernment, lift your voice for understanding; if you seek her as silver and search for her as for hidden treasures then you will discern the fear of the LORD and discover the knowledge of God. For the LORD gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding. He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk in integrity,
