Proclaim the kingdom

We must tell others about this kingdom

Mt 10:7 "And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’"

Ac 8:12 But when they believed Philip preaching the good news about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were being baptized, men and women alike.

Ac 19:8 And he entered the synagogue and continued speaking out boldly for three months, reasoning and persuading them about the kingdom of God.

Ac 28:23 When they had set a day for Paul, they came to him at his lodging in large numbers; and he was explaining to them by solemnly testifying about the kingdom of God and trying to persuade them concerning Jesus, from both the Law of Moses and from the Prophets, from morning until evening.

Ac 28:31 preaching the kingdom of God and teaching concerning the Lord Jesus Christ with all openness, unhindered.

Lk 8:1 Soon afterwards, He began going around from one city and village to another, proclaiming and preaching the kingdom of God. The twelve were with Him,

Lk 4:43 But He said to them, "I must preach the kingdom of God to the other cities also, for I was sent for this purpose."

As you use the kingdom powers to proclaim the kingdom of God you too can tell people that the kingdom of God is upon them.

Consider the relationship between proclaiming the kingdom of heaven and healing the sick.

Lk 10:8-11 8 "Whatever city you enter and they receive you, eat what is set before you; 9 and heal those in it who are sick, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’ 10 But whatever city you enter and they do not receive you, go out into its streets and say, 11 ‘Even the dust of your city which clings to our feet we wipe off in protest against you; yet be sure of this, that the kingdom of God has come near.’"

Lk 9:2 And He sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to perform healing.

Lk 9:11 But the crowds were aware of this and followed Him; and welcoming them, He began speaking to them about the kingdom of God and curing those who had need of healing.

Notice that preaching the kingdom went hand-in-hand with healing. It is when we preach the kingdom to those who are not in it that we can expect God to provide accompanying signs of healing to show the people that the message of the kingdom is indeed a divine message.

This is not to say that God never heals those who have already believed. However, we need to understand that God’s motive and mechanism for healing a believer in the presence of believers is different from that of healing an unbeliever in the presence of unbelievers.
